The WV Ready Work-Based Learning Program

One hour virtual call with a different business every week.
Job Shadowing Modules align with WVDE 16 career clusters.
Rotating “live” schedule with recordings available to watch later.
30 minutes of job shadowing - virtual company tour, career opportunities, degrees/certifications needed.
30 minutes of soft professional skill facilitation by company HR.

One business is matched with one school for the entire semester.
The business provides weekly mentoring calls with a different company department every week.
The business works with the class on a capstone project based on design thinking.
Student teams present the capstone project at the end of the semester.
Students receive a graduation cord and certificate of completion.

WV Ready Work-Based Learning program is a semester-long virtual program in which businesses partner with high schools to provide students with career awareness through virtual job-shadowing modules and work-based learning.
