Dr. Amelia Courts
President/CEO
Dr. Amelia Courts has extensive leadership experience in the education sector and a track record of career accomplishments. Since 2013, she has served as President/CEO of the Alliance and has excelled in vision setting, consensus building, strategic goal execution, and productive systems management.
Sally N. Barton
Vice President
Sally Barton joined the Education Alliance in 2020 and has over 25 years of experience in fundraising, corporate communication, and organizational development. As Vice President, she serves as a senior advisor to advance strategic partnerships, development, donor engagement and outreach.
Robert Crawford
Deputy Director of Partnerships and Innovation
Robert Crawford serves as the Deputy Director of Partnerships and Innovation and is responsible for leading the federal AmeriCorps initiatives that support student success. He also works with a council of stakeholders to direct the Caperton Center working to revitalize School Business Partnerships across West Virginia.
Beth Winkler Bowden
Program Coordinator
Beth Bowden has served as Program Coordinator for the Alliance since 2016. She coordinates the Work-based Learning and college access programming for the Alliance. Beth also assists in supporting the media and communication outreach efforts of the organization.
Dale Bowyer
Education VISTA Leader
Dale Bowyer is the Education VISTA Leader for the Alliance. Dale joined The Education Alliance in 2016 as an AmeriCorps Mentor at Williamstown Elementary School (Wood Co) and is currently responsible for leading VISTAs in capacity building to support student success.
Caroline S. Goodall
Administrative and Financial Services
Caroline Goodall joined the Alliance in 2010 and has 30+ years of experience in the non-profit sector. At the Alliance she works closely with the board of directors and provides administrative and financial support for all of the programs of the organization.
Andrew Means
Federal Programs and Community Coordinator
Andrew Means joined the Alliance in 2019 and holds a law degree from West Virginia University School of Law. At the Alliance he serves as a Coordinator of the AmeriCorps program and supports members across the state to impact student success.
Allison Stickel
CAREERS Program Coordinator
Allison Stickel joined the Alliance in 2020 as an AmeriCorps VISTA member and currently serves as Program Coordinator for the CAREERS initiative. She plays an integral role in supporting partner success through grant administration and community outreach efforts.
Lorrin Shelton
Program Associate
Lorrin Shelton joined the team in 2024. Originally from Ireland, she brings a strong background in early childhood care and education. Currently, she provides administrative support to both AmeriCorps and CAREERS initiatives.
Jeanie Prince
Partnership Coordinator
Jeanie Prince is a Partnership Coordinator responsible for supporting high school students in identifying challenging and appropriate internship opportunities. She serves as a liaison to build partnerships between the business community and schools promoting career exploration and career awareness for students.
