How do we support Financial Literacy?

Financial literacy is a critical life-skill that students can cultivate beginning in elementary school and continue throughout their middle, high school post-secondary education. For the past 4 years The Education Alliance has partnered with the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission, the WV State Treasurers Office, West Virginia State Auditor’s Office, West Virginia Bankers Association, and the West Virginia Department of Education to strengthen West Virginia students’ financial capability. In addition to a developing a Financial Literacy resource website, The Education Alliance has supported the West Virginia GEAR UP Program by directly providing resources and support for Financial Literacy.
