On Tuesday, October 20 from 11:30am-1:00pm, The Education Alliance will host the second day of the 2020 Education Summit and explore the social and emotional aspects of student-centered learning. President and CEO of Communities in Schools (CIS) Rey Saldaña will be the the keynote speaker for this event. Saldaña will touch base on the impact of inspiring change and empowering your students to forge a path to a brighter future.

 

Our “Policy and Practice” session will be led by Pamela Cantor, M.D. Founder & Senior Science Advisor for Turnaround for Children. For nearly two decades, Dr. Cantor has practiced child and adolescent psychiatry with a specialization in trauma. Her organization, Turnaround for Children, translates scientific knowledge about how children develop and learn into integrated tools, resources and services for educators, school leaders, and school systems to establish the conditions and practices that drive learning and growth, so that all students thrive.
