AmeriCorps Orientation (1st week of service)

Please watch the AmeriCorps on the Frontline orientation video and complete the orientation assessment questionnaire during your first week of service. The questionnaire will assess your knowledge of program rules, requirements and benefits. Answers to all questions are included in your member handbook.

Mentoring Training #1 (September 26)

The first AmeriCorps on the Frontline training called Relationship Smarts was be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Saint John XXIII Pastoral Center (100 Hodges Rd, Charleston, WV 25314).  The training was provided by WVU Extension Agent Eric Murphy. Click here to download the agenda. 


Mentoring Training #2 (October 11-12)

The second AmeriCorps on the Frontline training was held on October 11-12, 2016 at Lakeview Golf Resort & Spa (1 Lakeview Drive, Morgantown, WV 26508)On October 11, members participated in Statewide AmeriCorps Training and the AmeriCorps Swearing-In Ceremony provided by Volunteer West Virginia. That evening members had the opportunity to participate in one of two projects to serve the Morgantown community. Some members served at the Ronald McDonald House Charities organization to provide cleaning, recycling, and landscaping services. Other members served at the Christian Help Inc. Career Closet, by organizing clothes (e.g. sorting, hanging) and assisting customers. On October 12, members participated in the second AmeriCorps on the Frontline training called Relationship Smarts provided by WVU Extension Agent Eric Murphy.  Click here to download the agenda. 


AmeriCorps Celebration (May 23)

The AmeriCorps on the Frontline celebration will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the Holiday Inn Express Charleston-Civic Center which is located at 100 Civic Center Drive, Charleston, WV 25301. The celebration will feature presentations on program success from each county and a celebration luncheon. The luncheon will feature a keynote presentation by Toni Poling who is the 2017 West Virginia Teacher of the Year and remarks from Heather Foster from Volunteer WV.  The celebration is requested for all members and all members are required to participate in the county presentation. Click here to download the agenda.
